Our Military Kids is allowing youth, grades K-12, of a deployed or severly injured servicemember to apply for a grant for up to $500 to partipate in an extra-curricular activity. Priority is given to service members from Virginia National Guard and Reserves; however, grant requests will be considered from youth of Guard and Reservists nationwide. Grant requests for tutoring will be given priority. All requests are dependant on available funding. Our Military Kids requires a Commander's signature or a copy of orders to verify deployment. All grants are generally processed within two weeks and are paid directly to the service provider not to individuals. For an application and more information surf to www.ourmilitarykids.org.
